Get download speeds of up to 3.1mbps and upload speeds of 1.8mbps (requires the availability of HSIA network).
vFlash tariff
Virgin says it tried hard to keep the tariff low but it doesn’t look like that from any angle. Just like Tata Photon plus USB broadband, vFlash too has a cap on the max data limit. If it was 15gb there, the max data usage (or free data usage) here is 10GB for the vMax plan.
The pay as you use plan, vStart charges at Rs.1/min with a monthly rental of Rs.250.
Other plans are:
vBase – Rs.500 monthly rental – 0.5GB free usage
vEconomy – Rs.750 monthly rental – 2GB free usage
vConnect – Rs.950 monthly rental – 2GB (day) and 10GB (night) free usage
vMax – Rs.1100 monthly rental – 10GB free usage
Charges after the free usage for all plans is 50ps/mb. Night time is classified as that usage between 11pm and 7am.
One good thing is that there are no special charges for Roaming (may be an inspired move seeing ‘why be a tourist in your own country?’ Ad). All this beside the price of USB modem device itself which is Rs.3499.
Get free TV channels with vFlash
Buy a vFlash and get free on demand TV, called vFlash TV containing 40 channels and live feeds from various other channels. You can stream live TV, record shows that interest you and play them any time later.(Virgin mobile uses the network of Tata Teleservices, and hence you’ll see a lot of similarities in the way it functions, just like the recent Tata Indicom TV)
