"Airtel launches Broadband TV - Package details"

If you’re using Tata Photon, you might have heard about Tata Photon TV or MTS TV with MTS Data card. A similar offer, this time from Airtel Broadband, allows its customers to watch live tv channels on their PC’s, courtesy of Apalya TV.

Three packs have been designed for customers’ needs:

A Gold pack for Rs.99 per month with access to all channels available

A Night pack for Rs.49 per month with access to all channels available every day from 9pm to 9am

A ‘My Pack’ for Rs.49 per month that allows you to select 3 channels of your choice

If you’re like me, there’s not a single channel in the list of available channels (except probably Discovery channel) that is worth subscribing yet. May be more channels will be added in the future (and the subscription rate might be higher too).

There are absolutely no sports channels. There’s one business news channel by the name Bloomberg, but, in all probability, the business channel you watch daily, is here, and for free.

For general news, most channels are already providing free live streaming on their respective websites.
