"Aircel Launches 3G; Free Trial for 6 days"

Aircel Customer? As an introductory offer after launch its 3G service, Aircel is offering 250MB of free Data and 50 minutes of free Video calls. If you happen to be in Chennai (Feb 22-27), Bengaluru and Lucknow (Feb 23-28), Kolkata and Patna (Feb 24-March 1) or Guwahati and Bhubaneswar (Feb 25- March 2), you can start your free trail by SMS’ing 3G to 121.

After the trail period ends, browsing will be charged at 3ps for 10KB and 5ps per sec for Video calls. Data tariff plans and Bundled plans should be announced shortly.

If you are short of ideas on what to do with your free data, you can simply head to the dedicated 3G Pocket Internet portal at 3g.pocketinternet.in and browse around. But do note that if you want to stream or download a Music or a Video, you’ll be charged accordingly. The charges are Rs.0.50 per Video/ Music streamed and Rs.10 per downloaded Video/ Music. The data required to stream or download will be used from your free 250MB offer.

In case you continue to use Pocket Internet’s Video or Music service after your free Data is over, you will be charged at 10ps/10KB.
