Tips To Get Driving License in Hyderabad & Secunderabad

For any one driving a vehicle, it is essential that he/she needs to have a valid driving license. For this purpose, there is no alternative (or, say virtually) but to appear for the driving license tests conducted at various RTO offices in Hyderabad.

The process of obtaining a driving license involves 2 stages. The first one is to get hold of a learner’s license and the second is to get the actual ‘Original driving license’.

Residents of Hyderabad district (and also residents of Ranga Reddy, Vijayawada and Kadapa) can visit the AP transport website (www.aptransport.org) to book the slot for the learner’s license test. After booking the lost, you will be required to pay the fee at any AP Online or e seva center.

Learner’s license test will be an Online based test passing in which will get you a learner’s license. Once possessing the LL, you will have to ‘learn’ driving for at least 30 days before going for a driving test at the concerned RTO office.

During the LL days, if you are driving a car, you should have a ‘L’ board both at the front and back of the car and a person having ‘Original driving license’ must always be in the car who can control the car in case of any emergency.

If you are driving a bike, you should never carry any pillion rider who do not have a valid license.

After you’re confident of driving you should go for the actual drive test. If you fail in a drive test, you will have to wait for at least 7 days before you can come in for the next driving test.
